As you are aware, we will be making the transition to the Canvas learning management system beginning July 1st of this year. We are very excited about this transition. The faculty members who have been using the system have commented on its user-friendly interface and powerful, yet flexible features.
We want to communicate to you important information and critical dates so that you can plan accordingly.
- Training for Canvas will begin May 29th and continue through the month of June. We currently have 23 training sessions scheduled, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 – 1:00 in McKillop 106. Sessions have an enrollment limit of 8 persons, so please sign up early. Registration information is available at http://ctlblog.salvereginablogs.com/training-registration/
- We will offer additional training sessions beginning in mid-August for new faculty and adjuncts teaching Fall semester.
- On July 31st, Blackboard will be shut down! You will need to download any materials you want to keep by that date. If you want to transfer your content to Canvas, we recommend that you back up your course and save it to your computer. A handout will be made available at training and on the CTL blog in June.
